Grants and funding for sports

There's a variety of funding available for sports clubs and athletes. We can help with the Community Chest, Talented Athlete and North Wales Gold Card grants.

Anglesey Gold Leisure Card

The Anglesey Gold Leisure Card is available to elite level competitors who have reached regional and national level standards and who require high levels of cardio-vascular and strength conditioning.


North Wales Gold Card

The North Wales Gold Card provides assistance to talented sportspeople in North Wales who are current representatives of Wales in their sport.


Community Chest Grant

This is a Sports Council for Wales National lottery funded grant aid scheme which is administered by the Isle of Anglesey County Council. It is designed to encourage more people to become more physically active more often.


Anglesey Talented Athlete Grant Scheme

The Anglesey Talented Athlete Grant provides financial assistance to talented sportspeople who compete at, or who have been invited to attend national squad training run by their NGB (national governing body)


Open Access Play Grants

The Open Access Play Grant is part of the Child and Youth Framework Partnership, within Cymorth Funding, distributed by the Welsh Assembly Government, to support open access play activities for children aged 5-16 years old

Grant for Sports Clubs 04/06/2010

Sports clubs are invited to submit applications to receive up to £1000 of grant funding for their club.


Local Sports Clubs given financial boost 18/05/2010

In a recent Community Chest meeting 12 projects was awarded £8964 between them.
