5 x 60

The aim of the 5 x 60 scheme is to encourage young people to get active and enjoy it. A range of exciting activities are available throughout all the secondary schools on the island.

We offer activities from football to netball, aerobics to boxercise and many more. This is a free service that is funded by the Sports Council for Wales.

For more information on the 5 x 60 scheme, please follow the weblinks at the bottom of this page.

Which schools are taking part?

Currently we have 5 x 60 officers in Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni, Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones in Amlwch and Ysgol Uwchradd Bodedern.

The 5 x 60 officers will timetable a programme of activities that suit the pupils' needs. These activities will take place before school, during lunchtimes, after school and at the weekend. These activities will mainly be targeting individuals who currently do not participate or who are in danger of losing interest.
