Waste collection day

We are improving the efficiency of our waste collections to reduce the environmental impact of collecting your waste and ensure that you enjoy the best possible service in the future.

The information below will help you find out your collection day, and which colour wheelie bin you will need to put out each week.

In the table, we have listed principal towns and villages; the majority of Anglesey’s population lives within the accepted boundaries of these areas, so it should be straight forward for you to find out your collection day from the table.

This will not be the case for everyone, of course. If you are not sure whether your address is associated with any of the areas listed in the table then please contact the Waste Management Section to find out your collection day. Their contact details are listed below.

When looking at the table you will see the letter A or B next to the collection day for each town or village. These letters refer to the collection schedule for your black bin and your green bin. Once you have determined this, you can download the relevant calendar, as we have attached Calendar A and Calendar B as PDF documents below. Residents of Holyhead should call the waste management section to find out which colour wheelie bin to leave out.

Your recycling containers will be collected every week.

The collection lorries now travel different routes, so the time your bin and recycling are collected may have changed. On the day of collection, to ensure that your bin and collection boxes are emptied, please remember to place them out before 7 am.
