Confirm your electoral registration details by phone, text message or on the web
Please note that it is only possible to use the following options during the canvass period 28 October - 10 March 2014.
If all the details printed on your form are correct and there are no changes then you have the option to renew your registration details using the freephone, internet or text messaging (sms) service.
To use the service:
Users dial the free phone number printed on their form. Callers then follow the instructions given by the automated system. They will be asked to input part one of their security code followed by the star key then part two of their security code followed by the star key. These unique codes are printed in the top right-hand corner of the form. The system will thank the caller for using the service and acknowledge their registration; the respondent can then discard the registration form or keep for their records.
The same applies as for the telephone service above but computer users connect to the Internet and access the registration website using the following link – www.ElectorRegistration.co.uk/ynysmon and follow the on-screen instructions. They use the same security codes as for the telephone service. Electors who use the internet registration service can also print personalised applications to vote by post.
Electors can also confirm their registration by SMS Text messaging by simply texting the two codes seperated by a space to the number printed on their form. (Standard network rates apply).
Once either manner of registration has been completed, the service will no longer be available. Users can however, override this registration by returning the form by post.
