Cyngor Sir Ynys Môn - Isle of Anglesey County Council

Advice and guidance to the Island’s employers during the Covid-19 Outbreak

Posted on 20 March 2020

The Isle of Anglesey County Council will be providing advice and guidance to businesses across the island during these challenging, uncertain and unprecedented times.

Our Economic Development and Estates Teams will be on hand to support and respond to any queries from local businesses, and will aim to provide information and guidance. Please get in touch with us digitally or via telephone, as the Anglesey Business Centre is currently closed to the public. We have taken these steps to ensure the health and wellbeing of the public and our staff.

Official UK government guidance for employers and businesses can be found here.

We would also like to make you aware that the Welsh Government has announced a package of support worth more than £1.4bn for small businesses to help to deal with the impacts caused by Coronavirus. More information can be found here.

The Welsh Government is continually exploring ways of supporting businesses who may not be eligible for certain schemes so please continue to monitor the Business Wales website.

Information regarding the Welsh Government business rates relief programme which may be able to help businesses during the current emergency can be found here. We are awaiting further guidance as what we need to do next as a local authority. We will update this page once further details are given.

If you are currently experiencing issues or have any concerns with regards to your business operations/supply chain contact the Business Wales helpline on 03000 6 03000.

PLEASE NOTE:

You will shortly be receiving your business rates bills for 2020/21.  These bills do not reflect the additional business rates relief programme recently announced by the Welsh Government for certain businesses in respect of COVID 19.  It is aimed that the amended 2020/21 bills for these businesses will be sent out by the end of April 2020. No recovery action will be taken in the meantime as regards to your business rates for 2020/21
